Der 23-jährige japanische Nationalspieler Shuto Machino wechselt aus der J1 League von Shonan Bellmare zur KSV Holstein. Der Mittelstürmer unterschreibt bei den Störchen einen Vier-Jahres-Vertrag bis zum 30.06.2027.
„Wir freuen uns sehr, dass wir Shuto Machino von Holstein Kiel überzeugen konnten“, so Geschäftsführer Sport Uwe Stöver zu dem Transfercoup. „Dieser Transfer ist für die KSV Holstein natürlich eine großartige Geschichte. Aber vorrangig ist, dass wir mit Shuto einen dribbel-und kombinationsstarken Stürmer für uns gewinnen konnten, der uns in unserem Offensivspiel sehr variabel macht.“
Shuto Machino bestritt seit 2021 insgesamt knapp 80 Pflichtspiele in der obersten japanischen Spielklasse für Shonan Bellmare und schoss 25 Tore.
Im Juli 2022 debütierte der beidfüßige Machino in der Nationalmannschaft Japans bei den Ostasienmeisterschaften. Seitdem kommt er auf fünf Einsätze und drei geschossene Tore und war u.a. auch bei der Weltmeisterschaft 2022 in Katar für sein Land dabei.
Trainer Marcel Rapp freut sich auf seinen neuen Stürmer: „Shuto ist ein echter Torjäger mit super Abschluss, sowohl mit rechts, mit links und mit dem Kopf. Dazu hat er den richtigen Tor-Instinkt in der Box. Außerdem ist er von der Mentalität ein absoluter Teamplayer. Ich denke, er wird uns allen viel Freude bereiten.“
Shuto Machino wird Mitte kommender Woche hier in Kiel erwartet und wird natürlich mit seiner neuen Mannschaft gleich vom 09. – 17. Juli 2023 ins Trainingslager nach Österreich reisen. Er wird mit der Rückennummer 13 auflaufen.
Japanese international Shuto Machino joins Holstein Kiel in the 2nd Bundesliga
The 23-year-old Japanese international Shuto Machino joins KSV Holstein from top tier of Japan, the J1 League side Shonan Bellmare. The centre-forward signs a four-year contract with the Storks until 30.06.2027.
„We are very pleased that we were able to convince Machino of Holstein Kiel,“ said Managing Director Sport Uwe Stöver about the transfer coup. „This transfer is of course a great story for KSV Holstein. But the most important thing is that with Shuto we were able to win a striker with strong dribbling and combination skills, who allows us to be very variable in our offensive play.“
Shuto Machino has played a total of almost 80 competitive games in the Japanese top flight for Shonan Bellmare since 2021, scoring 25 goals.
In July 2022, the ambidextrous Machino made his debut for Japan’s national team at the East Asian Championships. Since then, he has made five appearances and scored three goals, and also played for his country at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Coach Marcel Rapp is looking forward to utilising his new striker: „Shuto is a real goal scorer with great finishing skills, both with his right, left and head. He also has the right goal-scoring instinct in the box. He is also an absolute team player in terms of mentality. I think he will bring a lot of joy to all of us.“
Shuto Machino is expected to arrive in Kiel in the middle of next week and will, of course, travel straight to Austria for training camp with his new team from 09 – 17 July 2023. He will be wearing shirt number 13.
